Am I living in a time warp? Somebody tell those wacky Indians we did this almost half a century ago. Next thing you know, they'll try to set up some sort of world-wide computer network called the "internet", discover some way to cook with microwaves, and put peanut butter and jelly in the same jar.

Didn't Bo Jackson die recently? He was a great artist. It's too bad I didn't see him perform live.
Not at all. Probably one or two people in your AA meeting did that too.

It's not simply about 'structural integrity'.Observe how the new car crumples a lot around the engine bay, yet in comparison with the old car, the passenger compartment doesn't shift around much. Guess what - that means the passengers aren't being subjected to high accelerations - in simple terms that means the front end is taking the hit instead of the passenger. This stuff isn't rocket science - and it has been deliberately designed.I'll take a rusted 2009 model over a schmick 1959 model any day..
Ya, none of this was new to me but the way he brought it together was still eye opening. I'll have to go back and watch his TEDTalk later.!

Dugg for being on 1 page!?
Its always good to have redundancy built into your body. I prefer to keep my organs. However I would not mind owning a few extra in case of emergency. That is if I could afford to purchase organs when it becomes necessary.

Polaroid film is not dead! A group of people bought the factory in the netherlands with all the specialized equipment and stuff to make the integral film, check it out: http://www.the-impossible-project.com/They are aiming to launch it in 2010 I think. Hopefully they move on from the integral films and start making polaroid sheet film again too :)

Wal-Mart is vicious and evil, make no mistake. However, I think they were making the point that Wal-mart is far closer to mainstream American than any of those other companies. After all, practically any town of over like 5,000 people has a Wal-Mart.
